Overview
Determine the keyword groups you want to focus on
There are a number of ways you can drill down to focus on only those keyword groups you're interested in:
- Select the web property from which you want to see data
- Select whether you want to see keywords sorted by True Rank or Standard Rank.
- Choose the location and device you want to see results for:
- Choose the date range for which you want to see results:
Review the data in the report
The summary bar reports the keyword group with the largest market share and the keyword group with the best content opportunity.
The table includes the following columns to give you information on each of your keyword groups:
- Keyword Group Name. Click on a name in this column to jump to the Visibility Performance report, filtered for that keyword group.
- Number of Searches in the keyword group
- Monthly Search Volume
- Visibility Distribution
- Average Rank
- Number of Searches Ranked in Top 100
- Market Share of Top 10. Click on the value in this column to jump to the Market Share report, filtered for that keyword group.
- Modeled Traffic
- Average Content Opportunity Score. This score, on a scale of 1 to 100, reflects where you can prioritize your SEO efforts. The score is calculated based on search volume and rank.

What is a Content Opportunity Score?
Conductor is full of data, but sometimes taking action can be challenging if you aren’t sure what to look for. Knowing where to start can be the most difficult task of all for many digital marketers and SEOs. Which keyword group do I dive into first? Where do I focus my SEO resources? Fortunately, these questions can be answered by leveraging a simple metric in Conductor called Content Opportunity Score.
Put simply, a Content Opportunity Score reflects where you can prioritize your SEO efforts. It measures keyword groups on a scale of 1 to 100, with a higher score indicating a better opportunity.
How is Content Opportunity Score calculated?
This score is calculated based on Monthly Search Volume and Rank (the closer to positions 11-20, the better). That means a keyword group containing a large number of high-volume Striking Distance keywords receive a higher score.
Why is Content Opportunity Score helpful?
Using Content Opportunity Score to guide prioritization can help you be more strategic by clarifying where your best opportunities are for the products or services you care about on your site. This eliminates some of the uncertainty around which actions to perform first. By understanding where you have quick wins, you can immediately identify potential optimizations to bring your content into positions 1-10 on the SERP.
