Fine-tune Alerts to keep up-to-date on only the issues that matter to you
While addressing thousands of issues present on your site can seem daunting, more often than not there will be issues that have an impact on your site’s performance that might be otherwise unnoticeable. Alerts in Conductor Website Monitoring can help you stay aware of issues that might arise over time.
To avoid being overwhelmed with noise—you can also adjust the sensitivity of alerts in Conductor Website Monitoring.
- In Conductor Website Monitoring, go to Alerts.
- In the top-right, click Alert Settings.
- In the top-right, click Create Alert Definitions.
- Select the alert type you want to. For example, Page properties and issues or Pages entering or leaving a segment.
- Create criteria for triggering alerts. The specific criteria depend on the alert type you selected. For the majority of the alert types, you can set a limit for the following:
- Scope determines what part of the website you will be alerted about.
- Sensitivity determines how soon the alert triggers, based on the number of affected pages and their Importance.
- Recipients are the team members who will receive the alert via email.
- Messaging app determines which channel in Slack or in Microsoft Teams gets notified when an alert triggers or closes.
- Click Save Definition.
