Publish live changes on your page using Live Editor in the Chrome Extension
This lesson covers how to preview changes to your page’s metadata and—for customers with access to Live Editor—how to publish updates directly from Conductor’s SEO Chrome extension. With a few quick clicks, you can accelerate your optimization process directly from your browser.
Topics include
- Previewing how a new page title, meta description or URL would look in Google search results
- Testing different titles, descriptions and images for social posts
- Publishing live changes to title tags, meta descriptions, header tags and alt tags with the extension
Step-by-step
Here are the steps we cover in the video, with relevant links to more information. Be sure to watch to get more context and decision support for potential choices you might have to make as you go:
- If not already downloaded, download the Conductor for Chrome extension.
- In Google Chrome, open a web page on your site or on any site you'd like to research.
- From your menu of extensions, click to launch Conductor for Chrome.
- Go to the Live Editor section.
- Preview how a new title, meta description or URL would look in Google across Mobile and Desktop. If you have Conductor's Live Editor feature, you can then publish changes directly from the extension. Look for the teal ON indicator to know if you can edit a page.
- In the Social section, you can preview different titles, descriptions and images for social posts across Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Note that, where available, the extension determines preview images from OpenGraph tags found on the page.
