This guide is primarily intended for users responsible for configuring your organization's new Conductor Monitoring account. Some of the steps below require an Editor or Manager user type. For more information about user types, refer to the Users & Roles article.
Step 1: Add websites
Who can do it? Manager or Admin
Why?
Adding websites is how you determine what pages you want to monitor with Conductor Monitoring.
You can add as many websites to Conductor Monitoring as you want in increments of 1,000 pages, as long as they fit in your Page Bundle.
Step 2: Manage monitoring settings
Who can do it? Editor, Manager, or Admin
Why?
Conductor Monitoring allows you to adjust the monitoring settings for each website in your account to ensure your websites have the optimal monitoring setup that is tailored to your specific needs.
You can configure crawl settings like the crawl speed and frequency, the device type, the user agent, and more.
Step 3: Create segments and configure alerts
Who can do it? Editor, Manager, or Admin
Why?
Segments allow you to create logical groupings of your pages based on your needs, which you can then use to make your reporting more effective and to customize the auditing suite. Conductor Monitoring comes with one default segment ("Important pages"), but you can create more to best address your reporting needs.
Alerts notify you about all important changes that happen on your website. By default, you receive them via email, but you can also get them via Slack.
Step 4: Add your team
Who can do it? Manager or Admin
Why?
With Conductor Monitoring you never pay per seat, so you’re not limited by the number of team members you can add to your account. Consider any people at your organization who might benefit from the insights derived from Conductor Monitoring's data.
Step 5: Get the Chrome Extension
Who can do it? Any users
Why?
The Conductor Monitoring Chrome extension allows you to view Conductor Monitoring metrics and data about your websites directly in your browser. When browsing a website that is being monitored by Conductor Monitoring, you can easily view all Conductor Monitoring data about the page you are currently visiting.
