Overview
Insight Stream shows new Insights when new data appears in Conductor. Depending on the data source generating the Insight, you might see new ones a few times each week. As Conductor publishes new Insights, older Insights move down out of view. You can always scroll down to see an old Insight.
Review High-Level Information About Your Account
At the top of your Insight Stream, you'll see traffic and search visibility data for your entire account, across all your tracked content.
To the right, find links to jump into common reports and view your account's keyword configuration status.
Access More Data to Investigate Insights
Insights provide you with opportunities to take action on movement in your account:
- Does an Insight tell you about searches you are losing visibility for? Focus on those searches to protect them from further losses.
- Does an Insight highlight your gains in market share? Click into the report and add the Market Share pie graph to a Workspace you can share with your stakeholders so you can show off the good work you've been doing.
Share Insights
Because Insights address your whole account and highlight important data, you might want to share them with people in your organization.
Just click the Share button to see different ways to share the Insight:
Choose Send as Email to open an email you can send to interested parties:
Choose Add to Workspace to add the Insight to a Workspace you can use to track your work on addressing the Insight:
Personalize Your Insight Stream
Not every Insight will be relevant to your day-to-day...even if it might be relevant to someone else at your organization.
Filter Your Insights
You can use the filters on the left to focus on only the Insights related to certain aspects.
Hide Certain Insights
Conductor lets you hide types of Insights in your Stream at the user level. Not interested in reading about increases in your market share? Just choose to hide Insights like this. Conductor won't serve these to you anymore. Other users in your account won't be affected.
Pin Insights for Yourself
You can also pin Insights to your Stream to keep track of the Insights you want to watch or act on.
After you pin an insight, you can then filter your Stream to see all of the Insights you have pinned.
Done following up on an Insight? Just click the pin icon again to unpin it.
Manage Your Insight Settings
You can review and manage the insights you have previously chosen to hide on your Insight Steam:
Comment on Insights
You can leave comments on an Insight in your Stream to make notes or call out an important data point. These comments appear to anyone in your account.
You can also @tag users in your account in comments. Doing so gives them a notification in their Conductor navigation bar. Clicking on this notification scrolls their Stream to the Insight where you @tagged them, so they can see the comment.
You can also reach your Conductor Customer Success team this way to ask questions about the data or what to do with the information.
FAQs
Why don't I have any recent Insight Stream updates for one of my web properties?
Insight Stream only publishes new stories when Conductor detects the changes that each story reflects. If there haven't been changes in your rankings, market share, or whichever metric you are hoping to see new insights for, you won't see them unless changes occur in the data.
Why don't I see Insights in my Insight Stream, even though I have tracked web properties and keywords?
One possible cause for this is that you have tracked keywords for only mobile devices. Insight Stream will not show any Insights without at least one keyword tracked on the desktop-level.
Another possible reason for this is if your tracked web property has only a single keyword tracked. In this case, Conductor cannot compare the keyword's performance against others in your account.
In either case, Insights appear after you track a keyword on desktop and wait for the next keyword data publication.
