Using Live Editor
Note that this feature is currently part of a beta program. If you are interested in participating and you don't already have access, contact your Conductor Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.
This is an add-on feature in Conductor. To add it to your account, contact your Conductor Customer Success Manager or Account Manager.
Live Editor is an add-on feature that lets you edit on-page elements on your website and keep track of your history of changes. You can learn more about this feature in the Live Editor article.
Configure Live Editor
Before you start using Live Editor, you'll need to configure the feature. Refer to the Configure Conductor's Live Editor article.
Edit On-page Elements with Live Editor

Click here ↗️ or follow the path Live > Open the Editor button in Conductor. You can also access Live Editor from the Page Details report, which you can access throughout Conductor when you click a URL associated with your domain.
- After you access Live Editor from either of the locations described above, the Make On-page Changes form appears.
- In the field at the top of the form, enter the URL for the page you want to edit. If you accessed the form from the Page Details report, this URL already appears.
- Click to expand the Meta Fields section.
- Make changes to the page's title tag and meta description.
- Click the green check mark to confirm your edit.
Note that your edits are not published until click Publish Changes below. - Review a preview of how the page would appear in on a Google results page for desktop or smartphone.
- Click to expand the Headings section.
- Make changes to any header tag (h1-h6) appearing on the page.
- Click the green check mark to confirm your edit.

- Make changes to any alt descriptions that appear for media on the page.
- Click the green check mark to confirm your edit.
Note that your edits are not published until click Publish Changes below. - When you are finished making changes and have confirmed your changes, click Preview Page to review a new tab displaying how your page appears with your changes. When you are finished previewing, close the tab.
- If you are satisfied with your changes, click Publish Changes. These changes are now live on your page.
View All the Changes Made to a Page
For each page you edit, you can also see a history of the previous changes made.

- After you access Live Editor from either of the locations described above, the Make On-page Changes form appears.
- In the field at the top of the form, enter the URL for the page for which you want to review changes. If you accessed the form from the Page Details report, this URL already appears.
- Click the Change History tab.
- In the Published Page Changes table, review the changes that have been made to this page using Live Editor. For each change, you can see the date the change were published, the edited on-page element, and the user who made the change.
To see what specifically changed for each entry in the table, you can click the arrow to expand a detailed description of the element's state before the change and after.
