This guide is primarily intended for users responsible for configuring your organization's new Conductor Intelligence account. Most of the steps below require an Admin or Standard user type. For more information about user types, refer to the What Are the Differences Between User Types in Conductor? FAQ.
Step 1: Add your website
Who can do it? Admin or Standard users
Why?
Your website is the heart of your SEO strategy, so this is the first step to helping us frame your SEO data the right way. Adding a web property is required to unlock most features in Conductor.
And don't stop there... to paint a more complete picture of your competitors' performance relative to your own, you can add your competitors' sites to Conductor as well.
Step 2: Add keywords
Who can do it? Admin or Standard users
Why?
Tracking a keyword monitors whether your website appears anywhere in the top 100 search results for that keyword each week. You can enable daily tracking if that is included in your account.
Some things to know about tracked keywords:
- You must add keywords to unlock most of the keyword reports
- You can track keywords across different locations and device types, but these are added as separate tracked keywords. For example, the keyword "example" tracked on Google (US / English) in San Francisco on Smartphone would be configured separately from "example" tracked on Google (US / English) in San Francisco on Desktop.
- Be sure to track keywords as soon as possible: keyword data collection takes between 4 to 10 days

Step 3: Integrate your data
Who can do it? Admin or Standard users
Why?
Adding a web analytics integration lets you see your organic search traffic alongside your keyword data and is required to start Conductor’s automatic change detection to title tags, meta descriptions, and header tags.
Integrate web analytics as soon as possible: the initial data processing can take up to two weeks.
